A Japanese wooden planter

A large wooden Japanese planter, made from the root of a tree, with metal inset (corroded and some damage),dimensions approx. 31,5 x 82 x 70 cm. Possibly 1920's or later. Traces of use, some damage, the base lining somewhat damaged at the back. An unusual and impressive sculptural object. Please note that this is a heavy item, and special shipping is therefore needed.
