Maurice Van der Meeren Ludwig Van Beethoven 1936
Maurice Van der Meeren (1903-1983), a striking art deco styled portrait of a thinking Ludwig Van Beethoven, 1936, sculpted in white marble, dimensions approx. 46,5 x 28 x 25 cm. In good condition but in need of a clean, comes with an associated but possibly the original wooden art deco base, slightly damaged, height with the base 150 cm. A rare example of this sculptor working in Tielt.
