Dargile bathing woman in zinc ca. 1890
Dargile or D'Argile (an alias?), a woman in bathing suit leaning against a boat, ca. 1890, in patinated zinc, signed on the base and with foundry mark 'E Blot F' for Eugène Blot, the foundry of amongst others Camille Claudel. Blot was known for his high quality sculptures in 'Zinc Artistique' around 1870-1890. Height 72 cm, diameter base 31 cm, weight 17,55 kg.
