Geo Vindevogel (1923-1977), a very early patinated plaster cast of the head of Christ (or head of a man), 1941, loose on the original (?) wooden base, signed with the monogram and indistinctly dated '41' for 1941 at the side of the head, dimensions 36 x 15 x 15 cm (with base), height of the sculpture 26 cm. Some chips to the standing rim but otherwise in good condition. Provenance: the artist Francine Somers (1923-2022). The sculpture clearly made under the influence of George Minne who died in 1941.
