A striking silver Oil and Vinegar stand 'Janus', Paris 1809-1819
A striking 'Janus head' silver oil and vinegar stand in empire (regency) style, Paris 1809-1819, alloy 950/1000, 33 x 22,5 x 11 cm, one of the later glass carafes broken, old restorations to the silver visible. The stand is engraved with two unidentified oat of arms.
