Rosel Chinese style sideboard

Charles Rosel for Rosel (Brussels), a rare  art deco Chinese style sideboard, 1920's, in red lacquered wood and on a black lacquered base, incorporating original Chinese panels, mark on the central door and stamped mark on the back, 157 x 190 x 45 cm. Rosel was one of the most important interior decorators and furniture makers of Brussels from 1874 to the first quarter of the 20th century. They received numerous prizes at international and world fairs in France, England, the Netherlands and Belgium but also in Chicago (1893) and Rio de Janeiro (1922-23). With the original keys, traces of age and use.
