Achiel Pauwels a very rare and early abstract sculpture 1950's
Achiel Pauwels (born 1932), a very rare and early abstract sculpture in glazed ceramic, height 58 cm, width 17 cm, apparently unsigned but with an old exhibition label at the inside of the base. In good condition apart from a minor glaze chip to one of the extremities. Rare example of the early phase of the career of Pauwels, influenced by African art and pottery. (reserved)
