Albert Baertsoen (1866-1922), Windmill in Flanders, ca. 1900-1905, an important charcoal drawing, unsigned, charcoal on paper laid down on canvas , 80 x 84 cm (day measure). dimensions with the original frame 83,5 x 87,5 cm (unexamined out of frame). This drawing gave way to the making of an etching by the artist. The drawing was exhibited during the artist's lifetime in Brussels (1914) and Paris (1919) and was illustrated in Le Figaro Artistique of 1924. This drawing was exhibited in the important retrospective of Baertsoen in the Museum of Fine Arts in Gent in 1972-1973 (cat. no. 93 with illustration in the catalogue)
