Paul De Vigne medaillion Pieter De Vigne 1875
Paul De Vigne (1843-1901), the portrait medaillion of Pieter De Vigne (the father of the artist, also known as De Vigne-Quyo), 1875, patinated plaster, signed and dated bottom right, diameter 40 cm. A restoration to the right hand side, some damage due to age and handeling. This medaillion, with text, features in the monography by Oscar Roelandts (plate 14) and belongs tot he collection of the Ghent Academy (KASK). Another example in bronze was used for the tombstone of Pieter De Vigne at the Campo Santo graveyard.
