Alfons De Vogelaere (Gent 1922-1998), a rare and early matter painting, ca. 1965, mixed media on board, signed bottom right, 55,5 x 100 cm (with original frame). An important work by De Vogelaere, who stopped painting professionally to champion the work by his spouse Carmen Dionyse. Possibly some loss, due to age.
