C. Van Montagu (Gand) A 19th century set of 12 + 12 steel and resin knives

C. Van Montagu (Gand - Fabrique d'Armes et de Coutelleries), a rare complete set of 12 starter knives and 12 large knives together with a large meat serving fork and knife, in the original box with original label, the blades in steel (not inox) and the handles in ivoirine, an ivory-like resin, lenght starter knife 19,7 cm, lenght eating knife 25 cm, lenght large knife 32 cm. Box dimensions: 6 x 34,5 x 18,5 cm. The box on the inside with some damage, some imprefections to the knife handles. The latest date on the label is 1849, so it could be that the set dates from between the 1850s to the 1880s.
