Jean-Marie Dutry (Lokeren 1899 - Gent 1986), attributed to, a portrait of a lady, a very early and rare gouache on paper, signed "J Dutry" bottom right and dated 1918, 31 x 23,5 cm (day measure), dimensions with modern frame 41 x 31 cm. Folds into the paper and some loss to the paint surface. A very expressive and avant-garde portrait, close to the style of his brother, the painter Edmond Dutry. Jean-Marie Dutry went on to make a career in sculpting.
