Jozef Cantré (1890-1957), Eenzaam (Lonely, also titled l'Oublié), 1919, an original woodcut, signed and dated in pencil by the artist bottom right, with title and the mention 'Handafdruk' in pencil bottom left, 23 x 20 cm (sheet). The paper very thin so-called 'Japanese' paper often used for block prints, losses to the top corners, a tear in the border middle right, two folds in the bottom corners. Paper laid down on paper. Unframed. From the personal collection of Auguste Taevernier, Ghent (with his collection stamp, see Lugt 3334, bottom left) .
