Clémence or Clementine Jonnaert (1856 - 1941), Symphonie in red (flowers in a jardinière), a superb oil on canvas, signed top right, 65,5 x 80 cm (canvas), 76,5 x 90,5 cm with the original Leclercq frame (Some damages). Jonnaert was a female painter who was working and living in Sint-Martens-Latem. She was one of the most expressive flower painters of her generation. Provenance: family of the artist.
