Delft Syrup Jar
A beautifully curved 18th century Delft so called syrup jar, with handle and spout, to hold and pour liquid drugs, in white tin glazed earthenware with a blue cartouche stating the name of the main ingredient in Latin 'Violarum' and showing the 'S' for siropus. Some chips, consistent with age, interior with a piece of glaze missing (2 x 3 cm) and some glaze cracks, height 22 cm, width from spout to handle: 25 cm, diameter upper rim: 11,5 cm, diameter bottom: 11,5 cm.
