Frederick Lee Bridell (1830-1863), Dawn at Mayence (Mainz) on the Rhine, 1861, a panoramic and very dramatic view of the Rhine, oil on canvas, signed and dated bottom right, 49 x 99,5 cm. With an old (sales catalogue?) label at the back of the strecher stating the title. In a modern frame, dimensions with frame 61 x 112,5 cm. A very good and typical work by this artist who died at the age of 33. Some restoration, with cracking due to age.
