Jacques Bergmans (1891-1959), Le petit Cordonnier (the small shoemaker), 1936, oil on canvas, 60 x 40 cm, dimensions with frame 67 x 46,5 cm, signed and dated bottom right, with title, signature and a complete exhibition history annoted by the artist at the back. A very modern work by the artist who specialised in the rendering of Gent shop windows. By repute was this the house where Ghent comedian Romain Deconinck was born.
