Large 19th century crucifixion painting
A large 19th century crucifixion painting, unsigned, oil on canvas laid down on board, 159 x 107 cm with frame. Numerous damages and old restorations. The naive painting style is reminiscent of the 19th century Ghent painter Louis Delaetre (1815-1897), whose work was collected by the avant-garde of the 1930's like Frits Van den Berghe. Provenance: private collection Ghent.
