A wooden blowing pipe ca. 1920

A rare wooden blowing or hunting pipe, probably made in Belgium in the 1920's, lenght 224 cm, used to hunt ducks or birds but more commonly used for contests during fairs. The wood wound with black painted canvas. Traces of use, but still in working condition. Provenance: the family of the painter Edgard Gevaert (Sint-Martens-Latem)
