Jan Van de Kerkhove (Tielt 1822 - Schaarbeek 1881), Pêcheurs de crevettes. Environs d'Ostende (shrimp fishers near Ostend), 1856, an original ink on paper, signed and dated bottom right, titled by the artist bottom left, 11,5 x 19,5 cm (day measure). Some minor tears to the edge of the paper, browned and somewhat undulated. Unexamined out of its modern metal 1980's frame. Dimensions with frame 26 x 34,5 cm. A good drawing by the father of the so-called 'enfant de Bruges', Frédéric Van de Kerkhove, the child prodigy-painter.
