Joost Maréchal, Beatrijs, a unique ceramic relief
Joost Maréchal (1911-1971), Beatrijs, a large and unique relief, custom made for the gallery in Eeklo (Belgium) which represented the artist, mid to end 1950's (?). Removed from the facade of the gallery building by the family of the gallery's owner, Albert De Poorter, and mounted on a wooden board. Dimensions of the wooden board 85 x 115 cm, height of the figure approx. 83,5 cm. The relief was made in several sections, some of the sections restored. A unique and historic relief. Please note that this item is not stored in the gallery and is visible by appointment only.
