Theodore Jozef Canneel (1817-1892), the painter putting in the final touches in his workshop, 1842, a rare watercolour of good quality by this artist who became director of the Ghent Academy, 30,5 x 20,5 cm (day measure), dimensions with its 19th century frame: 53 x 43,5 cm. Also signed, localised and dated in ink at the back. Works of Canneel of this quality and subject matter come seldom onto the market.
