Raoul Léon Brygoo the harbour of Boulogne-sur-mer
Raoul Léon Brygoo (1886-1973), a panoramic view on the harbour of Boulogne-sur-Mer, 1937, oil on canvas, laid down on board, signed and dated bottom right, 58 x 107,5 cm, dimensions with frame: 71 x 120 cm. The painter received a bronze medal at the World Exhibition in Paris in 1937. It seems that after the war, Brygoo worked mostly as an architect. A 'repentir' is visible where two pieces of canvas were joined, but this seems to be original.
